Obituary of Miriam Jean Bowman

Mrs. Miriam Bowman, age 84 of Harriman, passed away Friday April 26, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She will be remembered as a vibrant, lively wife, mother, grandmother, Sunday School teacher and friend. Miriam was a devoted educator. She worked at Harriman High School for forty-one years as an English teacher, guidance counselor, librarian and principle.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dennis and Leona Edwards Morton.

Her son-in-law: Wendell Tedder.

And one grandson: Michael Tedder.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Jack Bowman.

One daughter: Dr. Miriam Tedder.

Three grandson and their wives: Chase and Elizabeth Tedder, Chance and Julia Tedder, and Case and Monica Tedder.

Three great grandchildren: Pike, Emory and Marley Tedder.

Along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends Sunday April 28, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Caney Ford Baptist Church in Harriman. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Taylor Phelps officiating. Interment will follow in the Bowman Cemetery.
