Obituary of Richard Anderson Curtis

Richard Anderson Curtis, known as Sarge, Pops, Poppa, Pa-Paw was born on August 13, 1953.  He departed this life July 16, 2019.  Retired 1st Sargent from the Army where he served this country for 22 ½ years – Vietnam, Desert Storm, Samolia, Korea, Germany and Saudi Arabia.  He was past post commander for 3 years at VFW.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Medena Curtis.

Two brothers: Tommy Curtis and Michael Curtis.

 

He is survived by his best friend & love of his life: Susie Curtis.

Five daughters: Cheryl Appel (Danny), Zabrina Cook, Crystal Curtis, Sumer Brackett (Mike), Jacie Norton (Stephanie).

One son: Joe Delbridge (Slyvia).

Sister: Betty (Ron)

Grandchildren: Savannah, Mallory, Gage Abby, Alexus, Sarena, LJ, Amelia, Darrian, Thomas, Kimberlin, and Crystalin.

Special friend: Rolland Brown of Harriman.

And several nieces and nephews.

 

 

The family will have a Celebration of Life Friday July 19, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Harriman VFW 195 Tub Spring Rd,.

 

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Harriman VFW.
