Obituary of Buck Armes

Mr. William “Buck” Armes, 70, Harriman passed away Friday October 4, 2019 at Fort Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville.  Buck was a faithful member and worker at Big Emory Baptist Church where he was currently serving as Sunday School Director.  He retired from Harriman Street Department with 34 ½ years and loved fishing and hunting.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Harvey and Louise Armes.

Four sisters: Mildred, Lulubell, Carolyn, and Patsy.

 

He is survived by his wife: Nancy Noe Armes.

Two children: Eric and wife Amy Hall, and Tammy Hall and Wendell Hardie.

Grandchildren: Chelsea and husband Jon Mathis, Jordan Hall, Kaylee Burton, Megan McCarroll, and Cody McCarroll.

Great grandchildren: Paisley, Elijah, and Jace.

Four sisters: Mona, Imogene, Loudene, and Peggy

And many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

The family will receive friends Monday October 7, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Big Emory Baptist Church in Harriman.  Funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM with Bro. David Harmon and Pastor Neil Crass officiating.  Graveside services will be Tuesday morning October 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.

 

In honor of Buck, memorial contributions may be sent to Big Emory Baptist Church building fund.
