Obituary of Ruby Annette Ellison

Ms. Ruby Phillips Gunter Ellison, age 88 of Harriman, passed away Wednesday October 23, 2019 at her home.  She attended Courts of Praise Church in Harriman and loved planting flowers.

She is preceded her in death by husbands: Ted Phillips and Albert Gunter.

Son: Ronald Phillips.

Two daughters: Debbie Utley and Norma Jean “Cookie” Halcomb.

Parents: Ruben and Willie McDermitt.

Three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Bobby & Chris Phillips, and Mallory & Belinda Phillips.

Three daughters and son-in-law: Pat Ward, Marsha Phillips, and Frances & Randy Adkins.

19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Special nephew: David Solomon.

Serval nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday October 25, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman.  Graveside services will follow in Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.
