To the Wampler family,
We are saddened to hear of the loss of Donny Joe. He is a great man and will forever be remembered as a joking soul with a big personality. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry that we have lost Don so soon. I know that we will never forget the times we had with as we developed a friendship.
I retired from the Air Force and started working at the Roane county jail and Don was my partner. Because we were both retired
military we shared a special bond that couldn't be broken. My wife Lucy was the cook at the jail and she was also friends with
Don and Virginia. Rest in peace sailor, we got it from here.

I am so sorry for your families loss.
I understand it must be very hard on John and Tyler Clark especially.
Please take comfort in Revelation 21:4.

I worked with Wampler for many years! I first got to know him when he was a jailer. What a character! He was always joking and making you laugh. The other side of him was a very serious and all business kind of officer! I got to know him even more when he started working the road! We drank a lot of Rocky Top coffee together! Until that next cup Wampy...rest in peace my friend! - Chief Jim Washam, Kingston Police Department
