Obituary of Carolyn Louise Hampton

Mrs. Carolyn Vaught Hampton, age 70 of Harriman went home to Heaven Sunday August 10, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She retired from Roane Hosiery after more than 42 years of service. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church for 42 years where she taught Sunday School for many years. Carolyn truly was an angel on earth. She loved to cook, read her bible, and help others. She is preceded in death by her parents: Edward Lee and Margaret Louise Stout Vaught. She is survived by her husband of 46 years: R.C. Hampton One son and daughter-in-law: Charles Edward and Pamela Hampton. One daughter and son-in-law: Leigh and Christopher Giles Four grandchildren: Monica Hampton, Noah Hampton, Joshua Hampton, and Xavier Giles. Two brothers: Tommy and Jimmy Vaught. Special friends: Paul and Linda Fink, and John and Linda Hill. Several nieces and nephews and many more family, friends and church family that loved her. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Bro. Charles Webb and Bro. Doug Green officiating. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley View Baptist Church.
