Obituary of Anna Mary Elliott Whitten

Mrs. Anna Mary Elliott Whitten, age 92 went home to be with her Lord, Thursday February 26, 2015 at her home in Kingston. She was born August 14, 1922. She grew up in Chattanooga where she graduated from City High. Mrs. Anna was a member of Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, Tennessee. She worked for 62 years until she was 78. <p> She was preceded in death by her parents: Alvin and Mae Hyde Elliott One sister and brother in law: Virginia Lee “Jo” Fann and her husband Eugene One nephew: Ricky Fann One grandson: David Jones Three aunts: Bessie Spencer, Ella Maude Sivley, and Hazel Burns And many other cousins and relatives on the Elliott side. <p> She is survived by her daughter and son in law: Virginia and husband Richard Jones One grandson: Chris Jones and his wife Eva One great grandson: Travis Jones One great granddaughter: Jazlynn Jones One niece: Linda Fann Johnson and her daughters Tara, Melina, and Kiera One nephew: Jody Fann and his wife Tess and their sons Marvin and Matthew And several cousins on the Burns, Sivley, Spencer, and Elliott sides of the family. <p> The family will meet at Cedar Springs Cemetery in Cleveland, Tennessee on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM for a graveside service. <p> In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Foundation, or Hospice Care in her memory. <p> The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Covenant Hospice Care for providing such good care of Mrs. Anna. <p> Davis Funeral Home, Harriman, is in charge of arrangements. <p> Condolences may be sent to the family at www.davisfuneralhomes.com
