Obituary of Wendell Eugene Gann
Mr. Wendell E. Gann, age 71 of Oakdale, passed away Monday March 9, 2015 at Roane Medical Center. He retired from the railroad after 40 plus years. Mr. Gann was also a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father: Woodrow Gann
And grandparents: Richard and wife Sally Gann and Thomas and wife Nellie Floyd.
He is survived by his mother: Alvin Floyd Gann of Whitwell.
One daughter: Angela Jean Gann.
One granddaughter: Elise Hartley both of Hixson.
Two sisters: Lois Ann Baggett and her husband Don of Hixson and Wilma Lee Skiles and her husband Ken of Whitwell
His companion of 32 years: Sue Gilbert of Oakdale
The mother of his child: Wanda Gann of Hixson
And a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
The family will receive friends Friday March 13, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman. The funeral service will be Saturday March 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Garvin Walls officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
