Obituary of David Charles Sandifer

Mr. David “Charlie” Sandifer, age 65 of Harriman, passed away Monday August 24, 2015 at Parkwest Medical Center. He retired from the Harriman City Street Department. He served in the Army. Charlie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Oakdale. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by his two sons: Donald and Charles and wife April Sandifer. Two daughters: Julie Sandifer and fiancé Josh Roberts and Sue Sandifer. Step-son: Cecil Dodd. Two brothers: Sam and Johnny Sandifer. One sister: Anne Gilmore. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Special friends: Eugene and Mary Bass and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones. The family will meet at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman Friday August 28, 2015 at 12:30 with graveside services to follow at 2:00 in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood with Rev. John Underwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to help with expenses.
