Obituary of Daniel Ray Carter

Mr. Daniel R. Carter, age 70, of Rockwood passed away Thursday May 11, 2017. He was of the Church of Christ. Dan worked as a farmer and a coal miner for many years. He also owned and operated Triple C Trucking and Excavating. Aside from all of that, Dan was a proud member of the National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Frank and Ama Carter

One sister: Cathy Jenkins

And one brother: Lonnie Carter

He is survived by his wife: Frances Carter

Two sons: Charlie Carter and Mendell and his wife Tina Carter

Three daughters: Angie Carter, Bonnie & Randy, and Catherine & Tim

Nineteen Grandchildren

Twenty-One Great Grandchildren

One brother in law: Bill Jenkins

And a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Sunday May 14, 2017 at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Bro. Wayne Nelson officiating. The graveside service will be held on Monday May 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Millstone Cemetery.
