Obituary of Curtis Ray
Mr. Curtis Ray, age 68, of Harriman, passed away Sunday September 16, 2018 at his home. He was a member of Bazeltown Baptist Church. Curtis gave his life to the Lord under the leadership of Rev. Maceo Roddy. He retired from the US Army and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Athea Myers Ray.
Son: Antonio Ray.
Father: Henry Ray.
Mother: Maggie Howerton.
Step-mother: Bertha Ray.
Sister: Shirley Smith.
Two brothers: John Henry and Oscar Rodriguev.
He is survived by his daughter: Shawn Ray of Oak Ridge.
Son: Michael Ray.
Grandchildren: Chatara and Silas Kitts.
Great grandchildren: Kali and Kiya Kitts.
Eight sisters and brothers-in-law: Margaret Stewart of Flint MI, Felecia & Horace Moore of Harriman, Gloria Spoon of Puerto Rico, Angela Rodrigues of Flint, MI, Tina & Roy Boyd, Loretta Hopper, Bearth Pendergrass, and Marlene & Edward Phillips all of Harriman.
Five brothers and sisters-in-law: James & Chris Ray of Virginia Beach, VA, Jessie & Carman Foust of Oak Ridge, Chancey Palmer of Harriman, Harold & Bridget Ray of Columbia, SC, and Leroy Ray of Harriman.
Mother in law: Ollie Going of Morristown.
Special friends: Rev. Henry Cleveland, Rev. Alvin Douglas, Bro. Jerry Eskidge.
And a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Saturday September 22, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman. The memorial service will be following at 3:00 PM.
